Stayed at the Bay Village for a week for soccer tournament with 2 teenage boys and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried, even when booking they went above and beyond, from Mika, Miguel and bubbly lady with glasses in reception, sorry cant remember her name, to house keeping and maintenance guy, who were just all really great, had issue with our stove so moved to another and better room, let us take towels to tournament on our last day as game was after checkout time, gave us parking for hire car and always smiling always helpful and the surrounds are beautiful would recommend to any family groups just made a hectic week so much easier and comfortable nice pools and facilities.
We were in desperate after having accommodation fall through last min arriving into Cairns. They were polite and accommodated our family needs. Lovely little room, clean and tidy and a lovely pool to enjoy. We ate at the onsite restaurant one night too and it was lovely! Will definitely stay again 🙂 great location, is a walk to the beach and kids adventure playground/ waterpark. Great for families
Dinner with the family, what a treat every meal was a hit. Delicious fragrant authentic cuisine. Definitely our favourite dining spot in Cairns. You won’t be disappointed. Lovely staff, good atmosphere.
This was our first visit to Australia and Bay Village delivered. Over our four day stay, we got to know every member of the gracious, accommodating and patient staff (and Giovanni even helped plan my next overseas trip to Italy.) Yes, the walk downtown takes a few minutes, but it slips right by…especially if you use the Esplanade. Be sure to try breakfast. Delicious. We’ve only been back in the U.S. for half a day and already this place feels like a distant, beautiful dream.
Reasonably priced and clean. Enjoyed our stay! The atmosphere is Balinese, as is the in house restaurant which is busy every night. Rooms are large and include kitchenette should you choose to prepare your own meals.
Myself and my daughter had a lovely stay at the Bay Village. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the staff in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was exceptional. We loved the swimming pool and used it every day. This is my second stay at the Bay Village and I would love to return
I have been to Bay Village twice now and plan to go again on our next trip to Cairns. The hotel is centrally located, has an excellent onsite restaurant and the rooms are spacious and clean. While this is not a high end hotel, it is great for families and those seeking something a little more affordable.

We were able to spend a week at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the studio we stayed in was surprisingly spacious. The grounds were a tropical delight and, each morning we were awoken to the song of birds.

This was a lovely hotel just off the Esplanade. Although we were only there for one night the staff could not have been more accommodating to our requests, even letting us change our room so we could have a later checkout.If I am ever back in Cairns again I will definitely use this hotel.
In July 2019 I went on a very expensive dive trip which brought me through Cairns, as part of the package I was given a night in this fine eatablishment. Upon arrival i was greeted by the most wonderful lady who helped me check in, I was pleased with the room, nothing flash but above the standard of what I expected, the grounds were a differenr story though, they were far beyond what you would expect. Beautiful gardens and a great open feeling to the retreat made you feel more immersed in a village rather than a hotel. The restaurant is attached directly to the reception, more on this in another review. The service was always spot on at the counter and the beds did their job, enormous bathrooms by the way!
Most pleased and would book here again if in the area!
Nicely finished motel: Excellent rooms (layout, decor, maintained) and the central pool garden area was very well done and restful.
Their Balinese restaurant is 4/5.

stayed for three nights,good sized room and clean,near all amenitys.shower pressure wasnt the best but overall good value.cock and bull pub around the corner is great value.but if not big eaters you can share your meal,we did and still didnt finish,great value.
My husband and I spent a week at Bay Village recently. The staff are so helpful, friendly and accommodating. Lovely pool area. Great breakfast selection daily.Delicious dinner in restaurant. Would recommend highly.

Friends travelling together
3 bed/2 bath apartment with balcony was a good size for 4 adults. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Unit was clean and nicely presented with all the facilities including washing machine and dryer. We had a great getaway.
We recently arrived, 8 ladies on a 60th birthday getaway & we had 2 x 2 bedroom apartments which were fantastic & suited our needs completely. The pool was beautiful & at night with the blue lights, very relaxing. Thank you for making us welcome & for the birthday door banner (hoping that we you). Highly recommend.
Fantastic venue had a ball, great location great price and even better staff. Spent 7 nights here and this was definitely the highlight of our trip.

The setting is gorgeous, you could be mistaken that you were actually in Bali, the pool was clean and centrally located. The rooms were basic and a little dated but very clean and the beds were comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful.
The setting was nice and the rooms fine but the staff were excellent. I took a pillow with me and housekeeping accidentally took the pillowcase when changing linen. That afternoon my pillowcase was ironed and waiting for me, despite being laundered externally; a surprising effort to return my pillowcase.(thank you)
We stayed here April 6-10, 2018 and while the property itself is was little dated, the staff (especiallly Giovanni at the front desk) was amazing. We had an early morning activity and Giovanni arranged a boxed breakfast that we could take with us. We had a dive on the Great Barrier Reef and he had towels ready at the front desk for us. He made phone calls for us, exchanged money for the laundry, and gave us helpful restaurant recommendations…all with a great attitude!!!
I found the staff very helpful. Fantastic location close to Airport and the Quay. Clean rooms and the restaurent is highly recommended.
I would definitely stay here again. they have a pool and free wifi. If you’re coming late remember to get the code to the smaller gate.

I was traveling with a group and an excursion to the reef was a must,so we stopped in Cairns. We had been booked into a small hotel, five minutes walk from the Esplanade. When we arrived our expectations were totally met: clean rooms, nice refreshing pool and friendly staff. Once again, a good choice.
